ICC (International Color Consortium) Profile: In color management, an ICC profile is a set of data that characterizes a color input or output device, or a color space, according to standards promulgated by the International Color Consortium (ICC). Beyond the Print

For this assignment, you will need to think about how you can take your images beyond just the print form. This can mean the images stay in a digital form, i.e. video, animation, web (and by web I don't mean on your blog, I mean an interactive website). You can print but go beyond just the print on the wall, think about making them sculptural or have them interact with each other or the space around them. How you show your work will change what images you shoot. This is less about WHAT you shoot and more how you present the images, how they work as a whole.

Please read A Sea of Griefs is not a Proscenium from your readings tab. We will talk about it at the critique and it relates nicely to the assignment. So if you're looking for inspiration, read it now.

Critique on April 4th.

Follow the instructions here to learn how to select hair and other fine detail in a photograph. This is very useful when trying to cut something or someone out from the photograph, or to cut the background out from around them.

Also, here's a video on the Refine Edge tool that is new to CS5, should be a much quicker and easier way to cut someone out of a background, hair and all, especially if there's a plain background behind them.
